Shanty told me that the new "Battlestar Gallactica" is DOPE! The other night we were talking about this guy from the OLD series. Not as scary as the dead lady in "Black Sabbath" but still pretty freaky. 

GRADUATION

We went down to Provo today for my nephew's Graduation from the 6th grade. Here is Elektra with cookie and Shaun living it up! Congrats to my FAVORITE (and only) nephew! 

Six Out Of Eight...

I got 6 out of 8 correct! not that bad. But, with any question that is answered there are three or four more asked. Here are some of my questions: What the hell was that STATUE of the foot with four toes? What was up with that weird bird that said Hurley's name? Where was the smoke monster? Was that Matthew Fox as one of the artic guys at the very end? Clones maybe? They just let Michael and Walt go? was Libby an Other? Where are they taking Jack, Kate and Sawyer? What was that loud humming and ultra-violet light? Are they in a dome A.K.A. the Truman show? Awwwww! I have to wait until the Fall now? DAG! 

That's Right, BROTHER! LOST season 2 FINALE!

Ok. It looks like it starts in about 20 minutes. I am a GEEK about this show. My predictions for the season ender (I have not seen nor heard ANY spoilers on this): Desmond will be back, we will learn the plane DID NOT crash on the island (set up), Sayid and Jin sail on the boat from the last episode as part of the plan to follow the 4 to the others, fake Henry Gale aka Fenry will be in this episode, Sawyer gets to shoot someone, Marvin Candle or Marcus Waxman will make an apperance either by film or in person, Micheal either kills himself or will be killed and the cliffhanger will have to do with what happens when the button doesn't get pushed. These are all speculation but let's see how many of these I get wrong or right. Peace-DAG!

I've been up since 6am Saturday...

Look at me. Just take a second and look at this picture. What a slap happy bastard I am. I have been awake since yesterday, 6am. So yesterday, I worked then went to the Living Traditions Festival in downtown SLC then went to a RAP show at HALO and then stayed up ALL night long. I spent my time watching the CUBS/SOCKS brawl on Sportcenter, Batman Begins and a little PSP action. I'm fried! this insomnia is killing me...Tylenol PM's? Valeria Root? Any ideas? I feel like i'm a copy of a copy of a copy, etc (Fight Club yall!). DAG! 

What Do I Get For Ten Dollars?

...A hold at "Black Cat" comics. I hit the tipping point with Dr Voltz on Wednesday. Dr. Volt put two of the same comic book in my hold. Now, they had different covers BUT it was the same issue, the same book. It wasn't a variant cover because as I glanced through the racks and there they were. The both of them. Lot's of them. I asked him what he was doing. He said he thought I would want it? I told him I only wanted the one and he replied with "Sad". This cat and mouse game of certain books that I don't want being put in my hold has been going on for like 2 years now. I have been a loyal customer at Voltz for over 7 years! This was it. I went over to Black Cat's today and threw down my deposit. I like the atmosphere at Cat's (no card gaming tables!) and who knows maybe they won't put books in my hold that I don't want! You could have called me...CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF! I was pissed. What does Fresh Kid Ice have to do with any of this? Absolutely nothing, MOVE SOMETHING!-Peace, DAG! 

Proud Daddy Day

Elektra graduated PRESCHOOL! We celebrated by hitting up the Toy's R Us for a gift (a plush RJ The Racoon from "Over The Hedge") and chowing down at the Panda Express. She makes me Sooooo proud and she can belt out a sweet version of the "Number Rumba". What a kid... 

Ain't No Half Steppin'

I finished "Daxter" on the PSP today. Elektra yelled out 'YES' when the final boss went down. No cheats either. I give this one 4.5 out of 5. Almost a perfect platformer. I'm watching the Suns in OT right now. Raja is ringing the BELL! Peace-DAG! 

Super Heroine Of The Week!

With locks as dark as midnight and a smile as bright as day, Bettie Page was much more than a beautiful pinup model, she was simply the best. A legend as much today as during her modeling days, every facet of Bettie's life and personality captures the interest and devotion of the thousands of fans. Bettie's undeniable influence is present still today in fashion, films, and magazines just to name a few. The dark-haired girl from Nashville has become a living legend, a modern icon, a symbol of beauty and femininity that transcends ordinary standards. Bettie will forever remain the queen of pinup. I went and saw this movie over the weekend. I'd give it 3 and a half out of five. 

Outside The Box.

I picked up Gnarls Barkely today. Talk about a mixed bag (Soul, Hip Hop, Gospel, Etc). The name for the disc is "St Elsewhere" and it lives up to the title. However, there is no Ed Bagley Jr on this CD. Danger Mouse constantly pushes the limit of what music can be. Efforts like this make the idea of music better. Cee-Lo Green is no slouch with the vocals through the 14 tracks. I really like the idea of 2-3 minute songs as a whole anyway. Some of the tracks that stood out to me "The Boogie Monster", "Who Care's" & of course, "Crazy". A very, very chill listen. Give it a shot. 

Ultimate Wolvie Vs Hulk (Directors Cut issues 1&2)

This might be one of the best series I've read so far this year. I've only read two issues of it. Damon Lindelof (of "LOST" fame) wrote this with L. Francis Yu taking care of the artwork. The billing in the back says...six issues, three huge fights, some outside the box twists, great character conflict, ONE winner. Even though Logan looks bad here I think weapon X is going to be victorious. 

It might blow up, but it won't go POP!

Back In The Lab

Left To Right- Dj Shanty, Rick One, Gunnar McKell, Rooster and Myself. Three new Numbs songs are 80% finished "Hold Up, Wait A Minute", "Train Music" & "Heavey Handed". We need Shanty to bless the cuts and then we can mix them down..a.fter that they will be IN DA CAN. We started on 3 more and should have those done by the end O' May. We think we have the name for the CD as well...not going to spill the beans on that one yet. Peace-DAG!
