I went ice skating today, it was a BLAST! My end of year review is coming soon since it's almost the end of the year. Fisch gave me two tracks for my solo EP. More on this later...here is your TAO OF THE WEEK...

"The greatest perfection seems imperfect, and yet it's use is inexhaustible. The greatest fullness seems empty, and yet it's use is endless. The greatest straightness looks like crookedness. The greatest skill appears clumsy. The greatest eloquence sounds like stammering. Restlessness overcomes cold, but calm overcomes heat. The peaceful and serene is the Norm of the World."

Raymond P, ME and The Rooster! @ ABG's in Provo, UTAH last night. The gig was cool...some peeps even made the commute down from the S-L-C to check the show. Rick filled in for Shanty who was reppin' the L-S. This one was for PENELOPE!  Posted by Picasa

Ok, so two players from the Utah Jazz got in a bar fight this past weekend and gave FAKE names to La Local Policia. Deron Williams is now Tory Ellis. Robert Whaley will be known as Bobby Williams. I give Deron some credit for Torey but all Whaley can come up with is mish mash of his first name and Derons last? For me NOTHING beats Ron Mexico. I saw Narnia 2 nights ago, I give it 3.5 out of 5. Some really good old school Disney weirdness, scariness to it but some of the CGI effects were kooky. Aslan was dope and Edmond was exactly how I pictured him in the book. Oh, how I enjoy that Turkish Delight. Busy weekend ahead...tomorrow I Co-Op @ Elektra's school, Friday I work from 7am-11pm and gots me a show on Saturday night. No rest for the wicked Posted by Picasa

If you want to be called on you MUST raise your hand. Man, it was a hectic weekend. Two shows, One Christmas party, Narnia & my 9-5. Strike while the iron is hot right? We got another Rotten gig coming up this weekend and as a matter of fact I'm heading off to the Kinko's in downtown SLC to print off some flyers right now. My 2005 Wizeguy Year In Review will be hitting the blog the week of Dec 26th. I will post on all of the days of that week with such items as Best Movies, Best CD's, Bottom 10 and so on...It will be a blast! Take care yall...I'm off into the cold.  Posted by Picasa

I saw Milt Palachio this past Wednesday at the downtown Salt Lake City Supersonic (car detailing place). I didn't want to make a big scene so when I was walking out the door I told him to keep ballin' and the Jazz will break out of their slump. He said "Thanks man". Well, I guess it worked against Portland but right now the Supersonics are beating them. We got a Rotten Musicians show tonight and tomorrow night. Maybe Milt and AK will drop by after the game...Ok, maybe not.  Posted by Picasa

It is a complete BLIZZARD in the S-L-C! Pull out those hoodies and beanies. It's like Sundance Film Fest cold outside. Posted by Picasa

Take aim...Well, I got the Blazer back and I can finally get from place to place again. This is the game on my PSP that I'm currently rockin' GTA Liberty City Stories. Oh yeah...pick up Talib Kwelis "Right About Now". One of the best CD's to come out in '05.  Posted by Picasa

Ok...so it's not the end of the world, but it's pretty damn close. My toliet exploded at 4am this morning! and no...I was not on it when it happened. I woke up to my neighbor downstairs yelling "Turn the water off Mark". I thought I was dreaming...I went into the bathroom and there was water flowing from the toliet bowl. I went into panic mode. I grabbed some towels and blankets and set up a perimeter to keep the FOWL water in the bathrom. Then I pulled off the top to it...bad idea. Water was squirting all over the place...the floor, my face, the walls ETC. I went to turn off the water supply to the bowl and the DAMN knob wasn't there...it looks like this has happened before and the last peeps in this unit probably took it as a souvenier of destruction. I ran out of mess and phoned my landlord. It's a good thing that Jason the fix it guy lives in my complex. He had the water shut off in like 5 minutes. Crazy times! Oh yeah...my vehicle should be done by Monday and so yes...I will be selling 1) my soul or 2) myself on State Street. Watch out SLC...  Posted by Picasa

I wish I was on Fantasy Island...I would ask Tattoo for some hard core cash money. Car Surprise Pt 2...I got a call from Tanner Transmission today. The grand total of my new tranny is...$2400! Anybody know someone who wants to buy one of my kidney's? Ok...So between now and Monday (I'm assuming they will finish this on Monday?) I need to get that money main! that skrilla...that chedda'! On a more positive note, I went down to Provo today and saw the guys at Island Style Tattoo. They always make me laugh. Gunnar hasn't been feeling up to par lately...I hope he is ok. I called his cribo but got the voicemail. Oh yeah...one more thing...LOST is the BEST freakin' show on TV right now HANDS DOWN!  Posted by Picasa

Salt Lake City...we have a problem. Well, if you have been reading on here for a bit you know that I aquired a 1996 Chevy Blazer from my Pops like a month ago. It looks like the fine folks over at Tanner Transmission are now "operating" on it and will be fixing the tranny. That's right boys & girls...the TRANNY! Not only that but I have no transportation for a week now. Woo hoo! score...I'll let you know how this plays out.  Posted by Picasa

Happy Thanksgiving...Gobble, Gobble, Gobble!  Posted by Picasa

Tuesday, November 22, 2005

Where do I start with this one? ok...I wasn't planning on getting this on launch date due to the fact that the games I want to pick up (Elder Scrolls 4, Too Human, Blue Dragon, Mass Effect) will not even hit the shelves until 06'. I was almost sucked into the frenzy...almost. All day long today I have been contacted by friends, colleagues, enemies, spies, etc on where they can go to find one and/or their horror stories of waiting in lines for over 12 hours to be told that they are all sold out. I looked on Ebay and some of these bloodsuckers who bought "more than one" are selling them for $700, $800...I even saw some for $1000. Now...I'm still rockin' my PSP. I can wait. But I feel sorry for those kids out there who are going to ask Santa for this one present (ala the Red Rider BB Gun) and it will play out in one of two ways. One...the parents will break the bank to get this puppy off of the Ebay or Two...the kid will be crying puddles on Xmas. My mom recently told me a story of how she had to bust her ass all over town to find an Optimus Prime for me when i was a chitlin (before the internet). I should have sent in a gizillion Mt Dew caps and won one...I could be buzzing off of Project Gotham Racing 3 right now (which by the way...has a NUMBS song on it...good plug huh?). Posted by Picasa

It's been a minute since I posted. I can't quite kick this sick bug I got a couple of weeks ago. Might have to break down and head to Instacare tomorrow. I saw "Goblet Of Fire" this past Friday. I haven't read ANY of the Potter books but this was a film of epic proportion. I think it might be my fave of the 4 so far. The Superman teaser trailer was DOPE. Kal-El rises again.  Posted by Picasa

From left to right...Marissa, Fisch, Hundred Year Storm (www.myspace.com/hundredyearstorm), Jana, Shanty and Me. Well...the show with these guys in SLC got cancelled so we thought we would hit up some Pie Pizzeria action. Those little red pepper flakes give me gas.  Posted by Picasa

Corey Fox (of Muse Music & Buffalo Fox Productions fame) and a very happy Madman @ The Pie Pizzeria in SLC, UT last night.  Posted by Picasa
