*****
Now, we missed the 12/12 street date BUT the disc will be READILY available next week! And yes…that is the cover you see there. On another note…Numbs now consists of four active members…Gunnar McKell, Rooster, Shanty and Myself. If you don’t program yourself, life will program you…We will be performing at the CAPO show on December 31st in Utah County and we will be SLANGIN’ the CD’s there, come and find us.

9 To 5: My new schedule is KICKIN’ and I LOVE not working on Mondays. The higher ups here seem to be taking my input and running with it. Do they care about what I have to say? Genius is as common as dirt.

Day 2 Day: I have been neglecting my Xmas shopping in order to wrap up this CD. I have ordered A LOT of the gifts people from THE NET. Amazon should give me a kickback or something. I went roller skating and about cracked my skull open on the disco floor (I’m no SUCKA, I didn’t spill…PSYKE!) . I’m still doing the veggie thing (4 months strong!) and the only thing I crave time to time is the BABY BACK RIBS. The “Gardenburger” brand makes a good pseudo riblet so I get by with that. The world is crazy man…they are sending more troops to Iraq (Allegedly), A Spy was killed over a dossier, A guy shoots his four kids and then himself, lost hikers, Edwards throws his name in for 08’ and still no OBAMA bid yet, bad meat, bad veggies. I’m not looking for a solution. I don’t think there is one. A wise man once said…Live as if your were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

One love…DAG!

Current Likes: Dove chocolates (EFF YOU HERSHEY!), Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops on PSP, Apocalypto and Finishing another music project this year (2005: Make A Face, 2006: Nfinity, 2007: ?).

Dislikes: Facing the music, spilling soda, Craigslist monotony and Bad Star Wars and Reindeer games.

DAGO'S WEEK IN REVIEW

It's that time again...

Numbs: Tomorrow should be the final nail in the coffin for “Nfinity”. One more night night of mixing and mayhem at AP’s! Once it is done and we have settled on a cover (the picture you see here IS a cover, not THE cover) I will go ahead and POST the track listing. I cannot believe it…we are going to hit the 12/12 street date that is in the SLUG ad. Still no word from Gunnar, I hope he is well. The CAPO guys are throwing a GIGANTIC New Years Eve Party at the Mc Kay Events center in Orem and have asked us to play. Last year there were 9,000 peeps at this thing…however, we don’t know if we can do it based on what’s going on with Zen One. Personally, I’d like to do it (HUGE opportunity) but we need to make sure our house is in order first before we play out again. I’ll go into my feelings about the new LP in detail after I have heard it… in it’s entirety with all the songs sequenced together how they should be. So far I am getting a positive vibe.

9 to 5: I have a new schedule…I work Thursday-Sunday and I am off Monday-Wednesday. I report to a guy named Mike who reminds me of early CRE “Ron” which is a good thing. He asks me for input on what goes bad and what goes good…he actually seems to care and I’m not sure how to take this. Maybe he is trying to figure out where I stand or maybe he really wants to improve things? Either way, my 10-4 attitude is making life a whole lot better over there. Anything is to be expected.

Day 2 Day: Elektra asked me today if Bruce Willis is still alive? I think she was checking to make sure he would be doing the voice over work for R.J. in “Over The Hedge 2”…if they make one. I made a mistake on NOT taking her to the studio last week. She told me over the phone that she didn’t feel “important” to me. It made me bawl, HARD. I can’t believe she would think that? That is HEAVY for a 6 year old to be thinking that at all. I admit I get wrapped up in LIFE with my music, my jobby job, relationship, family, etc. We ALL balance a lot of things but I have to start making it a priority to point out that my life would NOT be full without her in it. We went to the Mayan tonight to watch the cliff divers and polish off “The Volcano”. She put the finishing touches on my Xmas Tree “Silver and Gold 2006”. I hugged her when it was done and told her it was PERFECT.

I haven’t made a Xmas list yet. People are asking me what I want…it’s a good question. I mean everything that I have basically “wanted” as far as material goods I have picked up myself thru the year (Xbox 360, random games, miscellaneous CD’s, shirts, hoodies, jeans, etc). I am kinda clueless as to what I really need. Maybe I will make a completely asinine request slip and give it to all parties with obtuse and elite purchases on it. Think of it as a “Scavenger Hunt” Christmas. It sounds good in principle and it would be funny as hell to see if they could get all the items on the list but then I would be left holding the bag o’ ISHT. A bag of stuff I don’t need in the first place. I’m undecided.

Peace-DAG!

Current Likes: The “Holiday” scented pine cones at Michael’s, The Utah Jazz (play Milsap 30 minutes a game and he will be the rookie of the year), Marvel’s Ultimate Alliance on PSP, “The Fountain”…even though I still haven’t recovered & waking up rested with Jack, Blackie, Mousey and Kdawg surrounding me.

Dislikes: People leaving movies during the movie they picked and paid for (Is it because Tim Allen wasn’t in it?), Getting used to having my cheese moved at my work (it’s a metaphor), The camouflage pattern that is emerging on my carpet & food hidden away in my crisper (cure for cancer, maybe?).

SUPERHERO OF THE WEEK

Iron Fist (Daniel "Danny" Rand) is a fictional superhero martial artist in the Marvel Universe. Plunging his fists into the molten heart of Shou-Lao the Undying gave Rand the power of the Iron Fist, allowing him to focus his chi and enhance his natural abilities to extraordinary levels. His strength, speed, reflexes and senses can all be intensified, making his already formidable martial arts skills even more so. The ultimate expression of this focus is the ability to concentrate his body's natural energies into his hand, manifesting as a supernatural glow around his clenched fist, making his fist "like unto a thing of iron." So concentrated, this "iron fist" can smash into its target with superhuman hardness and impact. However, the feat of summoning the power required leaves Rand physically and mentally drained, unable to repeat the act for a time.

Other applications of the Iron Fist power include the ability to focus the energy inward to heal himself or outward to heal others of injury, as well as being able to telepathically meld with another person's mind.

In 2006, Iron Fist appears in an ongoing series, The Immortal Iron Fist, co-written by Ed Brubaker and Matt Fraction with art by David Aja. Posted by Picasa

GANOOSH!

Was eating the apple in the Garden of Eden justified? If I knew how this would all turn out, I'd be more than happy to be dead and in Heaven right now. Maybe…we have to break everything to make something better out of ourselves. I might have stated this before but a moment is the most you can ever expect from perfection. Your one perfect moment won't last forever.

DAGO's week in review

Actually, I think it’s been a couple of weeks? Let’s get into it…

Numbs: We are seriously a few weeks away from the “Nfinity” launch. We placed an ad in Slug Mag that shows the release date of 12/12. All that’s left are the solo songs…mine, shanty’s and roo’s. If the UD and Chuck D spots come in after the mastering then we will have to release either a MAXI Single (can you dig it?) or WAX. That might be kinda cool though…for DJ’s and who not to have those JAWNS on vinyl. Meanwhile, the “big” alternative radio station in Utah, X96 released their yearly local music CD, “Live And Local”. This is volume three and they put one of our tunes on there as the third track. The thing is…they put the title as “Explicit”? and the name of the song is “Heavy Handed”. I think the reason for the confusion was that on the print out (not hand written) slip that I turned in with it…it said “Heavy Handed- Explicit”. I know my hand writing is borderline unintelligible but come on…it was Arial size 16 font. Either way, we are on it and the contact info in the sleeve is on point.

The 9 to 5: Less is more. I report to a new supervisor starting this Friday. I need to learn NOT to rebel rouse at work and just stay neutral. Just reply with a 10-4 good buddy and let that be that. Why was I so naïve thinking I could change things. They tell me they want to know what’s wrong with how things ARE but that is just rhetoric. It’s like asking someone how their weekend was. Why? So they can tell you about there OWN weekend. It’s not a matter of not caring, I care. Some people still think knowledge is power.

Shenanigans: Elektra is a hoot. I’m going to miss spending Tofurki Day with her. She says the CRAZIEST things…her ranting lately consists of telling people in public that they shouldn’t have their Christmas stuff out yet because it’s not even Thanksgiving. She gets very verbal with the coffee shop workers, people at the post office and random humans at the grocery store. She is so outspoken and I LOVE it. Great kid. I have been so blessed.

Kdawg invited me to her parents for T-Day. She is so sweet and special and this meant a lot to me. Lucia the Madre likes to have Holidays not on the Holiday calendar day. It bugs me but she has done this like forever so I feel that I have gotten used to it. This might be the reason that I view these days as just another day. I don’t appreciate my time off like I should. It will be FUN fo sho and I am looking forward to it.

Some peeps from work, K-Dizzle and myself attended a Utah Jazz outing last night. The night was filled with overcoming a 16 point deficit (Go Jazz!), cheese fries, Irish Car Bombs, Evolution, high fives, throwing popcorn at people we didn’t know, kisses, spilled beer, falling down on the hard concrete and free mini-basketballs. I LOVE going to basketball games…I have a BLAST every time. The only downside…the Delta Center isn’t the D.C. anymore it is now Energy Solutions Arena. They should at least call it the E.S.A., it has a better ring to it. Enjoy the pictures…

Peace-DAG!

Current Likes: Jay-Z “Kingdom Come”, The Prestige (I need to see it again), Irish Car Bombs, The Utah Jazz (stay healthy yall!) & the term “Back To Basics”

Dislikes: Kramer and his racial tirade…”He’s a n*gger, He’s a n*gger…get him out of here”, FOX News (GOP Propaganda) & the Lack of PS3’s (this is done on purpose, I’ll wait for the price drop next year).

Magic Trick

I went with K-Dawg last night to peep The Prestige. I have to say this might be the best movie I have seen this year. Chris Nolan is one of my FAVORITE directors and the guy just knows how to tell stories. This flick has layers. It is a shifting hall of mirrors. Not only is it a movie about magic tricks it is also a tale of obsession. I need to see this one again. I cannot stop thinking about how GREAT it was (is). Smart movies are dope! Peace- DAG! Posted by Picasa

Geek Out

I'm rocking this game in my PSP. I'm about three hours deep into it and I'm already GEEK-ing out. A GREAT action RPG...Right now in my team I have Iron Man, Spiderman (with the black symbiote), Elektra and Wolverine. Don't front and pick this one up... Posted by Picasa

DAGO's week in review

Man, it’s been quite the last couple of weeks. I have been struggling keeping my head above water and my balancing act is getting tiresome. Where do I start…

Elektra had her 6th birthday bash at C.E.C. and a fun time was had by all. The party seemed to flow better then the previous years and I’m not sure if it had anything to do with the location or just the dynamics of where my life has taken me. She seemed to really like the robots and she got a birthday dance with the Mr Chuck (A.K.A. person in RAT suit). I still cannot believe that she is SIX, crazy.

Work has been pretty much more of the same. Even the Garden Of Eden was just a big fancy cage. You’ll be a slave for the rest of your life unless you bite the apple. I really do need to explode my comfort zone. I have been at CRE for a little over five years now…When do I get a sabbatical?

We finished out the last of the NUMBS shows in October. Saying it was a steady ride would be lying. I had a revelation last week. The revelation was that if Roo, Shanty and I do not finish this album it will never get done. We are so very close and I want to wrap this up so I can move ahead with my other projects that need my time as well. It seems with all the turmoil that has been going on lately that we are getting some opportunities that seem too good to be true (pinch me)…this is an email response that Chuck D (That’s right…from the group Public Enemy) sent me last week when I asked him about a possible collabo…

*Just let me know Mark NFL ( NUMBS 4 life)send me an example and i'll mimic a mp3 back at ya...setting up indie store...digital connect on SLAM...will get back atchapeacechuck*

So yeah it looks like he is in…and this one is from Dizzy (Ugly Duckling)…

*I leave for europe on tuesday! if you could send an mp3 to this email that would be great!*

If we pull both of these off I will be AMAZED! I have MAD respect for P.E. and U.D. and to get them on a Numbs disc would be too much. Chuck D is one of the reasons I started writing raps. I’ll let you know how these pan out.

***A couple of questions…Have we gone as far as talent or fortune will take us? Do we need to find more sensible pursuits? Maybe I need to arrive at acceptance. Acceptance of limits and mortality. I dunno…

On the health front…I am currently weighing in at 149lbs and sticking to the vegetarian diet that I started a couple of months ago. The cold I had is almost gonzo but I’m still hacking a bit (lung cheese). I have been walking a lot more instead of using the Blazer and the sit up/push up ritual in the AM is getting easier to do.

I voted today. I know that living in a RED state really means my vote doesn’t count but I did it anyways. I’m not down with the G.O.P. and I think Orrin Hatch is an embarrassment. Not only a political embarrassment but a musical one as well. Do you know he has been in that senate seat for 30 years! (first elected in 1976) WTF? This country has been turning into the Galactic Empire for the last little bit now and it’s time for a JEDI REBELLION! FUCKABUSH!

Laters- DAG!

P.S. Did you see the Dolphins beat the Bears this past Sunday (31-13)...yeah, I know they are 2-6 but that felt good. Oh yeah, the Utah Jazz are still 4-0...just stay healthy this year and it will be AIGHT!

Current Likes: The Audacity Of Hope by Barack Obama, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, The warm November Utah weather, The Original Pancake House’s “Pumpkin Pancakes” & Borat.

Dislikes: The last mini-season episode of “Lost” is tomorrow night and the show won’t be back on until Feb 2007, The Grand Ol’ Party & People who work at movie theatres that put “Censored” sticky notes over parts of movie posters INSIDE the movie theatre (If you don’t like what is on the poster then DON'T HANG IT UP!).

14 Days

Some of us know our limits, others don’t. The first kiss is magic, the second is intimate and the third is routine. After that the clothes just come off. It’s a demon. It’s self destruction. It’s a craving. It’s a space between desire and pleasure. Between wanting and having. I know this because I speak from experience.

I remember the time when I needed you the most and you were there. Besides my family there were only a few people who stood by me a hundred percent and you were one of them. I will NEVER turn my back on you no matter what. You are my brother, my family. I love you. Stay safe and god bless…

Sleep...

A wise man once said, “Sleep is the cousin of death”. So, what is the lack of Sleep? I think it’s a story. Who I am moment to moment is just a story as long as I am awake. I have had three KILLER bloody noses in the last several days. The weather is Salt Lake is unpredictable and at times feels like a knife. It’s still the same story. Upside down I could be a complete stranger. This morning I was lying on the bathroom floor of my employer trying to make the blood stop dripping out of me. All this time I’m thinking “I’m not all the way dead yet but the clock is ticking”…Conditions change, we mutate. Some things never change and we adapt. The whole story isn’t about me though. The same can be said for everybody in the world. We all run at the speed of life. Pablo Picasso’s “Guernica” is just a thousand smears of paint. Michelangelo's David is just a million hits with hammer. We're all of us a million bits put together the right way. Every masterpiece is just dirt and ash put together in some perfect way. How you live inside your head and you only see and hear what you want. How you only watch the shadows and make up your own meaning. You'll need to suffer to make any real art.

DAGO's week in review

Raw Heat, cuz I gotta EAT! The “Chrome Children” CD is growing on me like FUNGI. Another busy seven days or so. I made it down to Provo two times last week. My nephew was supposed to have a same day surgery thing but at the last minute the docs decided that it wasn’t necessary. See I have a RARE molecular disorder? Read more about it here…

http://www.mhaus.org/index.cfm/fuseaction/Content.Display/PagePK/Home.cfm

Yes that’s right I’m in a group called NUMBS and I am allergic to certain types of anesthetics. The reason they DIDN’T perform the “Gold Test” on him was that they are going to assume he is POSITIVE since it is in the family tree. They will take precautions in case of emergencies in the future (no funny gas!). The NUMBS show at the lounge was good. Not as good as the CAPO party but good. It was DOPE seeing old friends and reconnecting with the past. Most of these peeps we deal with in this music thing are good people. I stopped in (with Shanty & Kdawg!) to KRCL 90.9 on Friday night and brought DJ Knucklez and LAM a NUMBS sampler disk. They played it and pimped the UL gig. Supernatural was in the house as well. I had to ask him about his 9 hour and 15 minute Guinness World Record freestyle. It’s still pretty insane to me that he did that…SUPAFRESH!

On the agenda…MIXing down the tunes, picking up “Splinter Cell: Double Agent” and getting ready for Elektra’s SIXTH bday bash. Here we come CHUCK CHEDDA’! Take care- DAG!

PS. I had to drop the TAG message board. It has been funky for like a month now. You can always leave comments on the pics, I read them. I REALLY, REALLY do. Posted by Picasa

DAGO's week in review

So, NUMBS had a show this past Saturday night in Provo. It was called PROVOPOLOOZA. Get it? Like LALA only PROVO. I have to say though…this might have been the BEST Numbs show we have done in the past two years. Maybe it was because we did five new songs off of “Nfinity”. It was packed, the peeps came to Party and we didn’t really mess up. Even on the new songs. Elektra had her VERY first cavity filled by the Dentist during the week and she ACED it. A shot in the gums, Drilling of the tooth…No problem to this kid. She told me after that she wants to get another cavity? I guess it’s safe to say she likes the Dentist. I’m going on week four of my 1500 calorie per day diet. I try to do about 25 pushups and 150 sit ups every day as well. I need to exercise more. I’m not sure if I mentioned this in the past month or so but I have re-embraced my vegetarian lifestyle that I had in the past (circa 1998-2001). I have been doing it for two months now and it is working WONDERS for the baby stomach I have. I picked up Stones Throw “Chrome Children” (3.5 out of 5) and the season premier of LOST was an A-, my only issue with it…TOO MANY COMMERCIALS. I know this is how they pay for the whole kit and kaboodle but it felt like the episode was 30 minutes instead of an hour. I have gotten spoiled by the DVD’s…this could be the reason that I was getting agitated! I peeped “The Departed” as well. Facts said this is the best movie of 2006 so far. I still liked “V For Vendetta” better but I am a self proclaimed comic geek (the influence). STILL…a strong 4 out of 5 and easily Martin’s best flick since “Goodfellas”. We got another BIG Numbs show coming up this weekend and I need to weather proof my place since it’s chilly in UTAH. What do you think? More fleece blankets or more alcohol? Who’s down for a HOT TODDY? Later- DAG! Posted by Picasa

LOST Season Three

The new season of LOST starts tonight and I am counting down the hours. I have several questions and I know that ALL of these queries will not be answered in the first episode, “A Tale Of Two Cities” (check the Dickens reference) BUT by the end of season tres some of these blanks should be filled in…

What happened to Desmond, Locke and Eko and the Swan hatch?
What was the impact/effect of the magnetic pulse from the hatch?
What happened to Sawyer, Kate and Jack?
Where were they taken?
Are they still on the Island?
Are “The Others” bad or good?
Did Michael and Walt find rescue?
Will Penelope find the Island?
Are they finally going to show the Underwater hatch?

Things aren’t usually what they seem with this show and I expect the beginning to be a complete MINDPLAY. I have tried to stay SPOILER free…going as far to turn of the TV when the PROMO commercials come on.

Some predictions for season three: We will find out “The Others” are the GOOD guys like they said they were. Maybe they are the leftover’s from the Dharma Initiative in the early eighties? Michael and Walt will return by the end of season three, They WILL reveal the Underwater hatch, The Swan hatch will be severely messed up BUT everyone who was in there survived, They will find at least two other hatches, Marvin Candle will make an appearance outside of being in the Orientation films, We will find out how Locke ended up in a wheelchair pre island life, We will learn that Jack has some DARK JEDI secrets about his past (no one is perfect)…that’s all I can think of now. I’m sure with every question answered there will be 2 or 3 more that will be asked. I love this show.

More than meets the eye…ENJOY!

I AM A NUTCAKE!

If you live in the SLC…specifically the downtown Salt Lake area then I’m sure you have seen the NUTCAKE bumper stickers. Pete Ashdown is the guy who is running against SUPER JOKER Orrin Hatch…and I recently found out where this term came from…READ BELOW.

It goes back to last year, when President Bush showed up in Utah for an hour, and Orrin came for a campaign photo-op. When asked about the people at the protest in Pioneer Park, Orrin said that you'll find “NUTCAKES” wherever you go. However, just being called a NUTCAKE isn't enough. It's a term that must have meaning. How about this…a NUTCAKE is someone who is willing to openly share his/her opinion with the general public, especially if said opinion goes against the opinion shared by the general public.

Eff Orrin Hatch! Eff the Red and Right winged douche bags AKA Sean Hannity! Eff Rush forever for saying that stupid comment about McNabb (who by the way RULED last night and is having a killer season)…

WHY AM I STILL LIVING IN UTAH???

I’m headed down to PROVO tonight to practice with NUMBS. Johnny Utah sent me his verse from “Wake Up” as well…another good READ!

“I find myself kneeling, praying for better days to unfurl
staying alert, wide awake to the ways of the world
while we wear blindfolds and ignore the lies we're told
'84 is long gone and there's still mind control
true examples of shattered American dreams
because that boy next door is now a heroine fiend
we open the floodgates to accept the devils entrance
and it can be all traced back to September 11th
no power to the people, and forget democracy
just corrupt policies by a world of monopolies
but there's gotta be a way to kill these notions
they've swapped enough blood for oil to fill the oceans
and average joe is handcuffed from that fast buck
'cause only the top 10 percent are getting the tax cuts
so fuck Bush, I rage against his regime
and won't do what you tell me like Rage Against the Machine”.

The new season of LOST starts tomorrow and I am GEEKED to the MAX about it. I’ll try to post some predictions (I.E. the UNDERWATER hatch) in the morning tomorrow along with NUMBS PRACTICE PICS.

Later SIZZLECHEST! DAG.

DAGO's Week In Review

Either I have been really busy or I'm just getting lazier at updating this. Think Run DMC "Hard Times" OK? Actually things have not been that bad. Ups and downs and corkscrews, Right? Let's get into it...

Numbs: Suite 8 is all but complete. I feel blessed with what we have accomplished as a group and where we are headed. If you would have told me when I was 13 that Chuck D would be playing our music or some of our tunes would be on video games, movies and NATIONAL television or the fact that I would have LIFELONG friends and crew ALL from this music I would have been like...FORGETABOUTIT! We still have a lot more GRINDIN' to do. I'm not sure if I have leaked the name of the new Numbs project yet? But "Nfinity" should be out by the end of the year. Will it be an EP or LP at this point? Who knows...either way it is coming SOON. We have three NUMBS gigs in October (so far) and the new show set is taking form. Form like Voltron. It's a BEST of show..."Metaphonic", The "Episode", "The Word" and "Nfinity". The show is about 45 minutes long. Man, it's a good thing that I have been trying to get into shape. Brisk reminded me last weekend that I'm not old. I need to remember this. We are working on getting NUMBS music on ITUNES for all of you that are digitally inclined. Also, we renewed the domain name for five more years. I hope the site gets updated at least THRICE in the next several years. My spidey sense is picking up on the sarcasm.

BIZness: I caught the Pigeon John show in the SLC this past Monday night. The openers were Akrobatik and Bus Driver. Bus Driver reminded me ofRooster. He had great energy and stage mannerisms, fun stuff. John Dust always puts on a TOP SHELF performance. He gave us copies of his new CD "The Summertime Pool Party" and I suggest you ALL run out and pick it up. I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5, solid! PROPS to Fisch since he was the hook up for all of this goodness. Pigeon and Fisch are pallies. I even caught the look of death that night...NICE! Also, I ran into Lam of Expression and he told me how much he dug the Rotten Musicians disc and gave me a copy of his Solo double CD. I have skimmed it and MAN...very personal stuff on there. It's refreshing that people can make honest music with feeling. I dig those Expression kids. I still have NO idea what is up with SLUG magazine and the PODcast pilot we turned into them. Their site is still not updated. I told Shanty if they are going to sit on it we are going for DOLO, DELF, etc. We are going to put it out on our own and RULE! I want to do so much with this avenue. I have LOTS of ideas...good and bad, original and trite, old and new. Shanty is the man! Arcade Noise will be HEARD! We now have the means to blow up the Moon.

I'm going to pick up the NBA 2K7 CD (I've heard good things) and since"LOST" starts next week (FINALLY!) expect a DHARMA related POST in the next day or so.

PS. BLOG BONUS! Facts said I could post this (he emailed it to me). It is from a Kno-It-All's song called "Wake Up". The revolution will not be televised...

"Just take a look around our countries stricken with poverty
While we wage war tryin to force feed democracy
I got love for our troops abroad
Knowin at the end of the day yall are doin your job
I got no love for our government movin these pawns
And I'm anxious to see what we do with Iran
They won't go calm like we saw with saddam
They're spendin millions night and day fine tunin a bomb
Let's call it what it is its a war of the gods
Its like jesus holding a gun to the head of allah
Islam versus christian ran by politicians
The 2006 version of the inquisition
But this time we have oil involved
Money greed lust power makes the world revolve
We haven't evolved much since the days of rome
Instead of ceasar now they got a pope that sits in the throne" Posted by Picasa

CHEESE!

So yeah, I need to do a DAGO's week in review but I figure work will be a little LAX tomorrow (since I caught everything up this past Monday) so I will do it on Da Clock. Here is a picture I took a week ago. It's Elektra standing on Mr Numbs The Chalk Drawing. He washed away with a little bit of water. Tomorrow expect the goods! Peace-DAG! Posted by Picasa

Tri-ILL-ogy

This should get more play than it does...it's a shame it doesn't.

DAGO's Week In Review

The days are moving faster than I can think. Even sound and light can only go so fast. Craigslist has been the “Pot O’ Gold”. I was able to pick up a MAC G4 with 19” LCD screen for the Numbs office. The whole shootin’ match cost $500. You see, Rick wanted his computer back (the one currently in Suite 8) so he could check email and whatever else he does with his internet connection. Maybe this will solve some of the problems, maybe not. As you can tell from the previous post (see below) I think the KFAN “Bring It” jingle is done. It needs to be mixed and have some sprinkles added but yeah…it’s hype! I hope they use it. September 18th was my bros Bday. I picked him up a gift card and I got him a copy of Howard Sterns' radio show on 9/11/2001. I knew he would appreciate it. Elektra had a dentist appointment last week and it turns out she has one cavity. Almost six years on Earth and one cavity creep…not too bad. Also, I picked up Lego Star Wars 2 and Lupe Fiasco’s “Food And Liquor”. Lupe’s LP is SUPERFRESH! I have been listening to it since I coped it. Really, it’s on right now. It is intelligent, refreshing, thoughtful, fascinating, introspective, fun and creative. I mean there is a song on this LP called “The Cool” about a gangsta zombie rising back from the grave to deliver a haunting message. When I hear projects like this I know that Hip Hop isn’t dead. We need more mainstream artists like this who constantly motivate and push this art form. Is Lupe here to rescue, resuscitate or resurrect hip hop? I don’t know but for me, this is beautiful music! Back to lyrics and imagination. This gets a 4.5 out of five. Lego Star Wars 2 stimulates my geek gland. Action and adventure and nostalgia of the ONE TRUE trilogy…yeah, I was gushing when I left Game Stop. The force is strong with this one.

I attended “Gothla” last weekend with K-Dawg. What an experience. Great dancing, food and peeps. These people don’t mess around they even perform when “costume malfunctions” happen…well, at least for a few seconds. I had a blast. Tribal fusion belly dance at it’s best.

Every breath is a choice. Every minute is a choice. Choose to keep breathing…

The A Game

I think we pretty much finished the "A Game" jingle for KFAN 1320 AM. The vocals went surprisingly FAST but hey...the song is only like a minute and a half long. I'll have a DAGO week in review up tomorrow...peace! (pictured L to R- Myself, Roo and Ricky) Posted by Picasa
