The Looking Glass

Ok. I’m calling my shot here. This has been the BEST season of LOST yet. The season ender is upon us and I have been trying to get to it as spoiler free as I can. At the beginning of season 3.5 I asked a few questions, let’s revisit those…

-The others and how they relate to the “Outside” world
”The Man Behind The Curtain” gave us some info on the Island and Dharma, but asked more questions then it answered.
-How long the events on the Island been going on
See above.
-What exactly was the incident as mentioned in the Orientation films
Maybe the Dharma purge, maybe not.
-Who is the guy sporting the eye patch and what hatch was he broadcasting from
Mikhail and he was in the Flame.
-The four-toed statue foot
No mention of this whatsoever, there was a crazy old pillar.
-The black rock
It has dynamite in it and we already knew that.
-The monster
It does not like the security system of Otherville. Still a mystery.
-The supply drops
Linked to the computer in the Flame, maybe?
-The Michael & Walt saga
No sighting of either of these two.
-Why can Desmond see the future
Repercussions of blowing up the Swan.
-What is The Disease a.k.a. The Sickness
No mention of this.
-The Others “list” and who “Jacob” is
Not sure about the list but “Jacob” in the chair scarred the Be-Jesus out of me.
-Where are the “children” on the island
Hanging out with Cindy?
-What are the repercussions to the Swan implosion...And why did the sky light up
Nakie Desmond running through the Jungle with future seeing powers. Other effects unknown at this time.

My new theory and I’m sticking to it…this show is about Time Travel (I.E. Thought Experiments). There are way to many references to this…google or wiki the following and get yourself learned!

-Gedanken Experiment
-Tesla
-Quantum Mechanics
-Schrodinger’s Cat

What about the Lost City Of Atlantis? Maybe they are in the Garden Of Eden? Parallel timelines? Does the Osirian Clock tick to the Apocalypse? And maybe, just maybe…Hanso got ahold of the Djed Pillar (Kabbalah anyone?).

Now, while the average TV viewer would think this is WAY to heavy to digest it makes for PERFECT fodder for creative writers, producers, etc. The subject of MYTHOS runs deep and if you get a chance READ “The Hero With A Thousand Faces” (It’s a good starting point). This show is so deep and has so many layers. It’s challenging and I like that.

The finale, not sure what to expect here. I just want to watch it, I can’t guess anymore. Think of the most possible thing that can happen and expect the opposite.

The five deaths…
Charlie (His character has come full circle)
Naomi (Can’t TRUSS her)
Price (Ben’s new muscle)
Bernard (out of the three shooters he gets the least amount of screen time)
Juliette (I just needed another female on this list, she’s outtie!)

After tomorrow night, no more LOST until 2008! I hope whatever “Game Changer” they have it will keep me saying “Huh? What?” for about eight months. I’m sure it will…

Peace-DAG!

Circa 1998

Nine LONG years since the JAZZ have been in this spot and it feels REALLY good. They tried to gift wrap game five for Golden State (I.E. the disastrous 4th quarter) but they held it steady at the line, Fischer came through (again) and AK-47 has some long arms. The “small ball” approach back fired on the Warriors (Tonight it was Ellis instead of Biedrins, huh?) a la the Boozer effect and there were some more of those BULLY moves that we saw in the previous efforts from the G.S.W.’s. Even with this, the series was fun to watch and them Warriors were Hungry. Next up, Spurs/Suns. I think the Jazz match up better with Phoenix but It doesn’t look like that is going to happen (Thanks Robert Horry!). Boozer isn’t going to able to have his way in the paint this time around. He will be going against Tim Duncan. Yeah, outlook not so good. It CAN be done…but the turnovers have to be minimal at best and they HAVE to hit their free throws (they are after all…FREE). Here’s to the JAZZ getting back to the Finals. No B-Russ to push off this time.

Beta Test

There is much activity; you move rapidly from one thing to another and a hectic, somewhat stressful pace is likely. Many errands, phone calls, letters which require a response, and other "busywork" is on the agenda. A minor but rather tense confrontation is likely.

Your drive for personal power, achievement, or control over your life is very strong at this time. The tyrant in you emerges, and you can be excessively willful, domineering, or compulsive about doing what you want to. You battle anyone or anything that is an obstacle to your individual freedom of action, and ego conflicts or a furious power struggle may ensue. Also, you can be unmerciful with yourself and your own weaknesses. You are likely to push yourself much too hard.

Wolfman’s Got Nards Week In Review

Music: Setting up your own DIY tour is a big P-A-I-N in the tookus. The Missionary Position Tour 2007 will be rolling through the So Cal/Vegas area the last week in July. We have been trying to lock down places to play for this 5 group extravaganza. Ahmad Jamal has Zen Sushi booked for Friday, July 27th. We will be opening for him and Evidence. We got Presto and Freez looking for options in Sin City. I wish we knew someone in San Diego to work the angles there as well. It’s coming together slowly, but it’s coming.

We are opening for Scarab (Living Legends!) on May 24th and MC Enee One’s release party is @ Monk’s is on the 25th. Great line up on this one, Prince Po (O.K.), The Solution (A.J. & Brisk One), Den Of The Flow (Jersey represent!) and Concise Killy. Rock lobster, I’ll be there.

The re-launch of Numbs.com is set for June! Big ups to our man, TRAFNEY @ Intermountain IT. The site should be a lot more “fan friendly” then it has been in the past and it should actually get updated? No you can’t have it back silly rabbit!

Fisch called me over the weekend and wants to record a new ROTTEN song for the MYSPACEt while we are chillin' in hiatus. He rocks the Motif like King Koopa, Billy Clint plays the tuba!

9 To 5: The powers that be released my weekend help (Lloyd) and now I am back up to overseeing 670+ trucks, I am the sole point of contact for five of the most critical customers that CRE has and I get to take on more Noise, Chaos & Pain. I’m not making this up…sample call…

”Hey, well, your little faggot driver finally picked up the truck. So, You have a great holiday, you fucking assholes. And I hope that you all die and the whole fucking place blows up. And you guys just go on with your fucking lives, fuckers. Bye bye”.

I have this one saved on my voicemail at work, it helps me get through the day. Some old injuries never heal.

Day To Day: Lucia got a promotion at her job and left to Denver, CO yesterday. She is outtie for seven weeks of training. As much as this is a “mini-vacation” for me I am concerned about her health and well being. I think this excursion will give her an opportunity to grow. And for someone who does not invite change and thinks that everything should be constant I’m sure I will hear her nay saying optimism over the phone nightly. The lower you fall, the higher you’ll fly.

Elektra is almost done with Kindergarten. The best thing in life is watching part of you grow, learn and live. She makes me want to start life over, so wonderful.

Peace-DAG!

Current likes: The Utah Jazz’s non-suck, Chuck Palahniuk’s “RANT”, The Vertical Diner, Kurious “Walk Like A Duck” (bringing it back!) & Slidin’ Thru…Risky Business style.

The Middle

My Horoscope…

You are very clear and perceptive now. It's a good time to make a decision or come to an agreement, negotiate, exchange your views with others, present your case. If you are in a profession dealing with words, ideas, or communication, this is a very productive time for you. Ideas flow, and you express your thoughts well.

The Book I will BUY today…

Jumping Silent Cars That Sleep At Traffic Lights

It’s the end of a cycle
I have brought the plague that killed everyone
This was destiny

Are you sure this is what happened?
Is that how you remember it?
Who are you? What are you?

The figment of one imagination
But you still don’t know anything about yourself or even what’s real

You are death. The plague destruction.
You are life. Creation.
You are everything. You are nothing.
You are all there is.

Hey, I'm Open!

So, the “MAN” gave me a ticket to go and check out a Utah Jazz game the other night (April 7th). The face value on these are $400? Huh? The closest I have been to the court via lower bowl has been the 8th row. Yeah, this was Bitchin’ Camaro! The Jazz blew a 22 point lead and lost by 3. Sucks, but damn those were good seats. Do you want it? It's YOURS!!!

Music: For you, you and you! Let’s start it off with a GREAT spot on “Nfinity” out of the SLUG mag March 07’ issue and I think this one line sums it up best “It’s hard not to walk away from Nfinity without a sense of what they are trying to portray – years of dedication and a mutual love for the music they make.”…big ups to Lance!

Since I have written last we rocked the Big Easy again and played on Park City TV. The Park City TV interview/show was solid. I give the performances an 8/10. Gunnar even dropped the “S” bomb on TV. So far, no word from the FCC. If they call we will give them a bag of rocks. The Mission Position Tour is coming along and we have landed one HUGE sponsor so far, Skullcandy. We have another meeting with them on Wednesday to hash out the details of the partnership but so far everything has been MEGA POSITIVE. Check them out @ http://www.skullcandy.com (some you tube links from the PCTV gig will be posted up soon…watch out now!). Only one gig lined up in April so far…We are playing @ The Grand Kerfuffle on April 18th @ The U Of U. You don’t stop…

Linus was up in the studio this past week laying down a majority of tracks for new NUMBS EP that WILL be out by Fall 07’. Like I mentioned before we have a name/concept for this project but you are going to have to be good bricks in the wall and wait for it.

The DAGO EP? I need some new myspace JAWNS and REALLY need to get moving on this as a whole. Beats are plentiful, Time and Space can be a positive influence if I let it happen. I want this to happen.

Work: It’s not special. It’s not crap or trash, either. It just is and what happens just happens. I'll bring us through this. As always. I'll carry you…kicking and screaming…and in the end you'll thank me. I like to get ZEN right in everyone’s hostile little faces.

Day To Day: Am I communicating better? I got some AWFUL news in the last little bit and when I’m prepared to face it I will explain more on here. I think of it as a period of unexpected and sudden windfalls. I am steadily acting and reacting with soil, wind, sunshine and rain. A clouded mind sees nothing.

Peace-DAG!

Current likes: Evidence “The Weatherman LP”, Stephen King “Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born”…straight DOPE!, GRINDHOUSE, The gator “CHOMP” & the term “Razzle Dazzle”

Current dislikes: The undead, pollen count, Brett Ratner directing “Wolverine”, The RAP fued between Timbaland and Scott Storch (where is Magoo when you need him?) and the fact the Dolphins haven’t signed David Carr yet.

Zack Snyder on how he is going to ROCK "The Watchmen"!

My horoscope for today...

At this time you are able to be very clear and above-board with other people, bringing out your desires and differences between yourself and others in a way that is unlikely to offend or stir up hostility. Because you appear confident, others are inclined to follow your lead now.

...and tonight on "LOST" we find out how John Locke lost the use of his legs. WORD!

Star F*cker!

K-Dawg told me that Ed Brubaker and Joe Q. from Marvel were going to be on KRCL’s “Radioactive” program today. I was in the Blazer with the kiddo taking her to school and listening to the show at a little past noon today when they threw out the number to call in to ask Ed a question. I thought to myself…what the hell…and called in. Well, they got my name and what not and went right to me. I really wasn’t prepared at all for a) getting on the air or b) any type of question. After stumbling over some words I told Ed how I REALLY like the direction of “Daredevil” and asked why Captain America just basically “gave up” in issue 7 of Civil War. Ed corrected me and told me he didn’t write that…DUH! What was I thinking…it was MILLAR. I corrected myself and then he gave me a pretty good explanation of what their mind set was with “Civil War” and what Cap’s motivation might have been. I don’t usually get nervous but damn in this situation I was…REALLY NERVOUS. Ed suggested since I like “Daredevil” I should pick up “Criminal”. Why did I sleep on it in the first place? He also writes…The Immortal Iron Fist (with Fraction), Captain America & Uncanny X-Men.

BIG UP’S to K-DAWG for keeping me in the know…MUCH LOVE!

P.s. The archive of this show is at www.krcl.org (Radioactive, March 19th, 12pm-1pm). You can hear my nervous ass tripping over my words...Priceless!
